Partnership with Siemens at heart of changes to meet patient needs

Patients at UHNM are benefitting from a 15 year partnership with leading medical technology company Siemens Healthineers which has seen three MRIs and three CT scanners installed in the last 12 months.

The Value Partnership between Siemens and the Royal Stoke University Hospital site has helped to serve the complex needs of patients thanks to the installation of cutting edge technology which has also included one of two mammography systems.

UHNM sought a an industry partner for the delivery of diagnostic testing and medical imaging to allow better and quicker patient care using the latest technology and the partnership was established in 2007.

Matthew Cope, UHNM Contracts Performance Manager – Data and Technical, said: "We are entering a very exciting phase of our contract and are seeing the financial investment, improved technologies and the benefits of the partnership with Siemens. There is an ongoing refresh programme which includes our Cath labs, general x-ray rooms as well as new MRI and CT scanners."

This enables staff at UHNM to work flexibly while we provide efficient equipment support giving more time to be spent on patient care."
