UHNM Nursing Assistant Heidi Grocott has had a plaque made for ward 233 at Royal Stoke University Hospital

UHNM Nursing Assistant Heidi Grocott has had a plaque made for ward 233 at Royal Stoke University Hospital.

The team on ward 233 was split up at the peak of the pandemic to support other hospital areas while their unit was closed. They have now all returned to their original ward.

Heidi said: “The team like many across the NHS have been through a lot in this pandemic and we were all supporting our colleagues in different areas for the first few months and I felt that we needed to commemorate what we had been through now that we are all back together as services start to return.”

Marie Ratcliffe, Ward Manager said: “This is a wonderful gesture by Heidi, she has done it in her own time and the whole team really appreciates her effort. This will be put up with pride at the entrance to the Ward.”
