Dr Amit Arora is interested in all aspects of the care of older people and has a keen interest in 'Healthy Ageing'. He has previously helped University Hospitals of North Midlands develop its Stroke Service and Clostridium difficile Service to a national standard. He is the clinical lead for the multi-award winning Department for Older Adults and has implemented various projects including the frailty flag, frailty register, frailty tool, frailty fellowship (Keele), Silver helpline support for patients and carers, Front of House team, Transformation of older Adults, ward 4 – joint care project and is involved in setting a new research program for the department. 

He is also the former Chairman of the England Council of the British Geriatrics Society and current Clinical research Network lead for Ageing research for the NIHR West Midlands. He works with local health economy wide teams to influence and develop strategy and services for older people across North Staffordshire. ​
