​Dr Britton joined University Hospitals of North Midlands in August 2005. She trained in medicine in Cardiff and Edinburgh, and in Radiology in Glasgow. She was a consultant in the East Midlands before moving to University Hospitals of North Midlands. Dr Britton's principle area of practice is GI radiology; however she is also the quality assurance radiologist for the West Midlands bowel cancer screening programme and the Clinical Director of Radiology at University Hospitals of North Midlands​. Her research interests are in novel staging methods of colorectal cancer.
