Our Emergency Department offers modern facilities including, eight high dependency resuscitation rooms, majors and minors areas and a dedicated X-ray and Radiology Department.
We have Major Trauma Centre status and provide specialist services to three million people across Staffordshire, neighbouring counties and North Wales and noted as having the best survival rates for adult major trauma in the Country.
The Emergency Department treats a range of conditions with in-reach support from specialty teams and as such you will gain skills and opportunities to explore areas of interest.
Our nursing team are fortunate to benefit from a dedicated nursing education and quality team that actively supports all new and existing staff by delivering courses from mandatory training right through to trauma training across our two hospitals.
Our nursing team are actively involved in providing person centered care through their input into our departmental multidisciplinary groups. These groups explore new innovative ways of working to improve patient care and experience.
