Short Stay Unit

The Short Stay Unit forms part of the Acute Medicine Directorate and admits patients with medical conditions that are likely to require only a few days of admission and are unlikely to need complex discharge procedures.

The unit is fast paced and energetic and turnover of patients is fast and on-going. Great unit for exposure to managing acute medical conditions in an ever changing patient cohort. No two days are the same.

Patients requiring longer admission may be transferred to other medical wards within the Division.
