Three songs were performed at the festival including, Over the Rainbow, a capella arrangement of Beati Omnes and a lively rendition of Chattanooga Choo Choo.
Sue Pantin, Musical Director for the University Hospital Choir, said: “University Hospital Choir really pulled out the stops again for this year’s Newcastle Festival. It was a tall order to beat our previous highest score, but the singers’ confidence, musicality, sensitivity and fun shone through to earn a score of 93% and another honours certificate. It was a fantastic performance.”
The choir are now busy practicing for their upcoming summer concert in July.
