Ceri Sedgley
Chief Allied Health Professional (AHP)
Ceri joined UHNM in July 2024 as the Chief Allied Health Professional. This new role provides strategic and professional leadership for AHPs and their services across UHNM collaborating across the organisation, system, region, and UK.
Ceri trained as a physiotherapist at Oswestry and North Staffordshire School of Physiotherapy. During a long clinical career, she has worked in a range of roles most recently as an advanced practice physiotherapist in an interface clinic for complex musculoskeletal conditions. Ceri spent time working at the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy gaining experience in guideline development, developing professional standards and regulation, and organising professional networks. As an experienced project manager, she has led large programmes of work from redesigning system wide clinical services, implementing National Service Frameworks across system to the design of national clinical and professional networks. Ceri is a published author and has also presented at conferences in the UK and internationally.
Ceri is particularly interested in supporting the AHP workforce to be visible and to seek opportunities to identify their contribution to innovate and deliver excellent patient care. She is committed to the development of the AHP workforce, supporting individuals and professional groups to collaborate and realise their individual potential and the potential of the AHP workforce for the population we service.
