electrolyte balanced dry heparinised syringe (1ml)
Other Comments:
Arterial puncture - Prepare sampling site (aseptically). Locate the artery (Allen’s test for radial artery) and puncture the skin. Once sample is obtained, withdraw needle and use gauze to apply pressure to the site for 5 minutes. Remove air from sample, cap and mix gently but thoroughly. Test within 10 minutes of obtaining the sample.
