2 x 4ml EDTA blood (1ml if paediatric), biposy, purple top (blood)

 Biopsy or tissue sample - Plain sterile CE marked container

Include details of underlying conditions or immunosupression

 

Turnaround Time: 5-7days

Detection of EBV in blood

Other Comments:

Specimen transport: If processing is delayed, refrigeration is preferable to storage at ambient temperature. Delays of over 24 hours are undesirable
