Background:
Investigation of ethylene glycol (antifreeze) ingestion
Urgent dispatch is available from the laboratory on weekdays only. If analysis is required during the weekends, samples should be dispatched directly from the ward by taxi, following direct discussion with the referral laboratory.
Gel samples are not appropriate for analysis.
