Requirement:

COAGULATION TUBES MUST BE FILLED TO LINE.

Specialist coagulation testing, would not normally be requested as a first-line test.

 

Turnaround Time:

Up to two weeks if non urgent

Deficiency of factor IX causes haemophilia B, also known as 'Christmas Disease'.

Requests must be vetted by a Consultant Haematologist or Paediatrician.

Reference range:     50-150 IU/dL
