Requirement:

COAGULATION TUBES MUST BE FILLED TO LINE.

Specialist coagulation testing, would not normally be requested as a first line test

 

Turnaround Time:

Up to 2 weeks if non-urgent

Factor XI is a serine protease active in the coagulation cascade.

Factor XI deficiency (haemophilia C) is very rare and is seen mainly in Ashkenazi Jews.

Requests must be vetted by a Consultant Haematologist or Paediatrician
