Background:
Distinction of bone and hepatic disease.
Elevation of GGT in conjunction with ALP is indicative of liver pathology rather than bone pathology. GGT is commonly elevated in patients who abuse alcohol, especially those with recent intake. Various medications/drugs may elevate GGT concentration
