4ml clotted blood (1ml if paediatric), red top, State reason for testing

Turnaround Time: 5-7 days

Serological diagnosis of HHV-6 by antibody detection

Other Comments:

If processing is delayed, refrigeration is preferable to storage at ambient temperature. Delays of over 48 hours are undesirable
