Department: Virology and Molecular Microbiology Requirement: 4ml clotted blood (1ml if paediatric), red top, 4ml EDTA and urine as per national guidance. Symptomatic patients only with history of travel to affected area, state dates of travel and return and areas visited

If processing is delayed, refrigeration is preferable to storage at ambient temperature. Delays of over 24 hours are undesirable
