UHNM Bus service between Royal Stoke and County Hospital

University Hospitals of North Midlands operates a site shuttle service. Patients and visiors travel free and are able to reserve a seat on the service. Members of the public, visitors and staff who wish to use this service are required to pre-book their journey at least 24 hours in advance on the Link-Bus booking telephone line – 01782 813047 or by emailing abcsupreme@abcsupreme.co.uk. Staff, patients and visitors can make their bookings between Monday and Friday, 9am–5pm

Two buses operate the service with each bus leaving Stoke and Stafford on the hour, every hour, between 6am and 10pm, Mon-Fri. One bus operates the service at the weekends every two hours between 8am and 6pm. ​

The bus stops are located at the Royal Stoke Main Entrance and the bus stop near the entrance to County Hospital.  The buses also pick up and drop off in Stone:
Pick up point 1:
Travelling towards Stafford, the pick-up and drop off point is on the southbound side of the A34. It is located by a bus shelter in the layby about 100 metres after you pass ALDI.
Pick up point 2: 
Travelling towards Stoke, the pick-up and drop off point is on the northbound side of the A34, in a bus layby situated about 100 metres before you reach ALDI.
Staff boarding the service will be required to confirm their name and present their Trust ID badge.
​Buses to Royal Stoke University Hospital

Bus routes in the area change relatively frequently, so it is best to check the Traveline website for up to date information. The relevant area to search for is West Midlands. Traveline's telephone number is 0871 200 22 33. There is also a Stoke-based bus information website which can be found at: http://www.stokebus.info/. Bus stops on the hospital site display route and timing information which is updated by the City Council. Paper copies of bus timetables are available at the City General main atrium reception desk.

Trains for Royal Stoke University Hospital

Stoke-on-Trent railway station is about 1.5 miles from the hospital. Taxis are available outside the station. For details of train services to Stoke-on-Trent  click here to go to the National Rail enquiries site.​

Buses ​​​to County Hospital

Bus timetables are available at the hospital or from www.chaserider.co.uk, by telephoning 01782 332 337 or emailing info@chaserider.co.uk.

There is a Travel Hub located in Stafford Main Reception (Cashiers/Car Park corridor) where you can find travel information - Bus timetables , Cycle Scheme , Site map Etc. The Hub is accessible 24/7 apart from between the hours of 08:00-10:30 Monday to Friday. For any Information during this time please come to the switchboard office.
