Ready to Start and Contract of Employment

Once all your pre-employment checks have been completed your application will be moved into Ready to start and your new line manager will be notified by email that you are ready for a start date.

Ready to Start
At this point you can contact your manager, or they will contact you to arrange the most suitable time for you to start in your new role. If you are an external candidate your first day will be your Corporate Induction, which will take place on a Monday. Should the Monday fall on a Bank Holiday then the Induction will take place on a Tuesday.

This date will need to align with any notice period you may have and will need to be appropriate timing for the department to ensure the appropriate departmental induction plan can be implemented.

Contract of Employment
Once your hiring manager has confirmed a start date with the Recruitment department the Recruitment team will process and will book this on your TRAC account. The recruitment team will send your contract of employment and all the information you need to complete your Corporate Induction.

Your contract of employment will reflect the standard Agenda for Change Terms and Conditions and will have a new starter form attached. It is important you return your signed contract of employment and completed ESR2 New Stater form to your new line manger so they can ensure you are set up on the payroll system.

If you have any questions or concerns about your contract of employment, you can contact the recruitment department via email: recruitment.mail@uhnm.nhs.uk
